Things Are Happening!

Sunday, April 21st, 2013

Lots of exciting things have been in the works for many months now, and I’m finally able to continue sharing them. Last week, I posted the first set of tour dates to the calendar!

This week, I am launching a Kickstarter Campaign!

I’m aiming to raise $7500 by April 30th!

The funds will go towards:

1. Final costs for the Album, including CD Duplication

2. Gas money for the US Tour this May

3. Travel costs for the European Tour this August

It’s 9 short days to raise money. And if I don’t raise it all I will get nothing.

So Click Here to hear the first track off the new album, view the reasons why I’m doing this and check out the rewards I have lined up to offer in exchange for your support!

Sincerely, thank you,

No Cheese :(

Turkey sandwich – no cheese. The exciting lunch break of a recording indie musician.

On the way back from the songwriting retreat last month, I was incredibly inspired by how much we were able to accomplish in a short amount of time. Each pair of songwriters wrote a song each day.

That got me thinking, “how much recording can I get done each day?

With that in mind, we set out to finish recording in the 28 days February provided this year.

With the help of an amazing and dedicated drummer and a hard working producer, we’ve gotten close to our goal. The next 6 days are all about vocals.

After that we still have a lot production work to do but we’re getting so close I can just taste it!

Show Updates!

It’s been a while. I’ve got a few shows coming up and more in the works before the May tour…

Tonight!  8pm – The Americana Music Circle, at Mare’ka in Studio City

Playing with The Little Women with Big Guitars for one of our last shows as a band, details

Saturday, March 2nd, 8pm-10pm – Viento y Agua, Long Beach

The Little Women with Big Guitars get the whole night! So we’ll be playing solo sets and singing songs together, details

Thursday, March 7th, 3pm – Anaheim Farmers Market, Anaheim

The Anaheim Farmers Market is hosting a very cool weekly stage featuring local musicians.

Peace out folks! Hope to see some of you soon!

Today is my Favorite Day of the Year!

Friday, December 21st, 2012

Only up from here

No, not because flames and demons haven’t shown up outside my window this morning, but because it’s the shortest day of the year.

Each day after today the sun will rise a little earlier and set a little later – which means that every day after today will be brighter and warmer than the day before it!

I truly do look forward to this day every year. It’s a rebirth of energy that is graciously delivered up from the earth and down from the sun and all we have to do is open our arms and accept it.

Last year I fed off this energy and used its influence to choose to make my days brighter. It’s around this time one year ago that I wrote up my resignation letter. I had enjoyed my job but writing that letter was exciting – that’s how I knew I was doing the right thing.

Now, we don’t all have to go quitting our jobs or anything, but I challenge you to take a moment today to think about something in your life you’d like to make brighter. Then ride on the waves of increasing sunlight till the summer solstice in June.

Today, in all its glorious short stature, is a beautiful day!

P.S. Oh yeah, business. The Jimmy Kimmel contest ends today so I’ll know around March if I made it to the top 10 or not. And if you missed this weeks youtube video, it’s an oldie but a favorite of mine.
